Location

Fort Walton Beach – “The Emerald Coast” – is located in the county of Okaloosa, Florida. Its emerald waters, great weather and beautiful beaches attract visitors to the area all year round, peaking in Spring Break and during the summer months.

The area of Fort Walton Beach has a long and colorful history, with the first settlements being traced as far back as 1100-1550 AD and the European settlers arriving in 1528. The great year round weather attracts visitors to the area all year round, with average highs of 91 in the summer and average lows of 37 in the winter – the summers are often very humid and the winters short and mild.

Located on the Gulf of Mexico, it is the perfect vacation destination for those who want to make the most of the water with year round fishing and some of the most beautiful coastline in the US. The area is also one of the best places to spot dolphins, manatees and both leatherback and loggerhead turtles.
